FC Barcelona, Messi and Iniesta acknowledged by the IFFHS

FC Barcelona was designated by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) as the World's Best Football Club in 2012. This is Barça’s fourth award in the category, its third in four years. In addition, Andrés Iniesta and Lionel Messi also picked up awards from the IFFHS.

Iniesta was named World's Best Playmaker of 2012, an award that Xavi Hernández has won a total of four times. Messi, on the other hand, was named World's Best Goalscorer for the second consecutive year.
