Friday August 2 is the most important day of all. It’ll be an emotional end to the World Meeting and Congress forming part of the Festa Barça 2013.
Instituional Day of World Congress
From 10.00, the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya will be the venue for the XXXIV World Congress of FC Barcelona Supporters Clubs. The members of the Board, led by president Sandro Rosell will be looking back at the 2012/13 season and presenting plans for the one to come.
Tribute to Nicolau Casaus
The former vice president of FC Barcelona, Nicolau Casaus, will be one of the focuses, especially during the Gala Dinner. A much-loved figure at the club, Casaus was a wonderful ambassador for FCB all around the world, and was especially fond of the supporters club movement.
This year, a much deserved homage is being prepared to the memory of the man. A number of anecdotes and surprises are sure to emerge, with many people who knew Casaus sharing their memories in what is sure to be an emotional moment.
Chance for the younger fans
On Friday afternoon, it’ll be the children who get their moment at the Festa Barça, specifically in the Auditori 1899. This is the second year of the Football Games, with plenty of nice prizes for the winners, included signed articles and two tickets for a game at the Camp Nou.
All entrants will also be getting gifts from FC Barcelona, el Mundo Deportivo and Sport, as well as two tickets for the Joan Gamper Trophy. So who’s going to be leading Barça to glory?
From 18.00, at the site of the Festa Barça, a commemorative gift will be given to every club that has attended the World Meeting.
And of course, the three-day event will be coming to a close with the Joan Gamper Trophy, in which Tata Martino will be managing the team in his first ever home fixture, the visitors being Santos of Brazil.
