On occasion of the World Junior Handball Championship being played in Bosnia & Herzegovina, the IHF has made the draw for the two groups for Super Globe 2013, the sport’s world club championship. This is the first time Barcelona have appeared in the competition.
Barça in Group B
Xavi Pascual’s side will be starting in Group B along with Etoile Sportive du Sahei (Tunisia), Al Rayyan (Qatar) and Taubaté (Brazil). The other group will be made up of HSV Hamburg (Germany), Al Saad (Qatar), El Jeish (Qatar) and Sydney University (Australia).
The Super Globe is being played in Doha (Qatar), and the group matches will be played from August 25 to 27. The top two teams will progress to the semi-finals and the world club champions will be decided on August 30 in the grand fin al.
