    The Dutch star will undergo surgery on Thursday 22 on a chronic muscle injury in his right thigh

    Ibrahim Afellay will undergo surgery on Thursday August 22 for the chronic injury to his anterior rectus muscle in his right thigh.

    Surgery will be performed by doctors Antoni Dalmau and Ricard Pruna at Hospital de Barcelona. The club will be making a medical statement after the operation.
