Sponsorship agreement with Samba in Saudi Arabia

This Friday, FC Barcelona unveiled a sponsorship agreement with Samba Financial Group (known as SAMBA), the most important financial group in Saudi Arabia, for an initial period of three years. This agreement will make Samba an Official Sponsor and Official Bank of FC Barcelona in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was signed this Friday at a meeting of representatives from both parties at the Camp Nou. It’s the first alliance between FC Barcelona and an organization from Saudi Arabia. The agreement will strengthen the presence of the Barça brand in the Middle East.

Economic vice-president, Javier Faus highlighted the strategic importance of the deal for FC Barcelona: “We’re very happy and proud to have Samba as a financial partner in Saudi Arabia. This association will reinforce our presence and positioning in the Middle East because two leading lights in their respective areas, sport and finances, are joining forces to work together to achieve common goals, such as satisfying our fans and Samba’s customers. We have chosen this organization as the official bank in Saudi Arabia for its prestige and international recognition and for the great passion they’ve shown towards Barça and all it represents. We are sure that the agreement with Samba will be very beneficial to both parties”.

Zaki Al Mousa, Board member of Samba Financial Group, pointed out that the agreement will offer new advantages and opportunities to their customers: “This winning association will hugely strengthen Samba’s position as the main card issuer in Saudi Arabia.
