Marc Carmona's comfortably defeated the Ukrainian team thanks to strikes from Lin, Kameko (og), Fernandao and Igor

Victory, great futsal and goals. That’s how FC Barcelona Alusport started off the UEFA Elite Round, the qualifying phase ahead of the Final Four. The men managed by Marc Carmona came back from Lokomotiv Khàrkiv’s opener, and thanks to their solid defence and efficiency in front of goal, the Blaugrana defeated the Ukrainians.

Torras and Aicardo put Barça in front

Lokomotiv Khàrkiv scored the opening goal after only seven minutes of play. FC Barcelona, however, didn’t shy away from the challenge and took the lead before the break.

Torras, on minute 9, and Aicardo, on minute 17, scored to give their team the lead. The captain was one of the most active men on the court at the start of the match and he scored a great goal as he latched on to a corner and fired to the back of the net. Aicardo put Barça ahead with a strike from outside the area.

Barça increase their lead

In the second half Fernandao and Lin forced two more goals for Barça. In the team’s third goal, the Brazilian’s shot was deflected into the back of the net by Kamek, and Lin scored Barça’s fourth seconds later. Both goals were scored on minute 27.

Later on, Lin won back possession and linked up with Fernandao who made quick work to make it 5-1. The difference between the two teams was increased when Igor, taking advantage of the fact that the Ukrainians were playing with a keeper-player, scored from his own half.
