Baloncesto Fuenlabrada – FC Barcelona: The Blaugrana are eager to continue their winning ways

The Blaugrana visit the always difficult court of Fuenlabrada at 12.15 with the objective of adding to their two-game winning streak

FC Barcelona will visit the Baloncesto Fuenlabrada arena for round 11 of the Liga Endesa. The Blaugrana, who defeated Valladolid and Budivelnik Kiev this week, are looking to secure their eighth victory in the league and not lose sight of Madrid and Valencia Basket in the table. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada have won four matches and lost six, but they’ve won three of their last five games in the league. History is on Barça’s side, however, as they’ve won 13 of the last 15 games between the two teams.

Without Huertas and Todorovic

Barça come into the match after securing two impressive victories (scoring 109 and 96 points in each game). These victories coincide with the return of Erazem Lorbek and Brad Oleson, both of whom recently recovered from long-term injuries. Xavi Pascual picked a 12-man team, with the notable absences of Huertas (technical reasons) and Todorovic (injured).

Barça will take on a team that have a good mix of youth and experience. The experience is brought to the court by Carlos Cabezas, Román Montáñez and Andy Panko, while the young players are Moussa Diagne and Dani Pérez. In addition, Fuenlabrada have excellent shooters in James Feldeine and Ivan Paunic.

Tomorrow’s match will pit two of the best attacking teams in the league against each other. Barça are the best two-point shooting team with an average of 59%, while Fuenlabrada have the best three-point shooting average (42%).
