Press note from the Supporters Clubs Council

Antoni Guil, president of the Supporters Clubs Council, signs a press note of this representative body on the mark of Josep M. Bartomeu’s appointment as new Club president.

We hereby entirely reproduce the press note:

" As a result of the resignation of Sandro Rosell and the appointment of Sr. Josep M. Bartomeu as Club President, the Penyes Movement wishes to state:

• The Barça family go into this decisive moment with a united aim of strengthening the Club, both socially and in the sporting area.
• We would like to thank Sr Rosell for the work he did for the Penyes movement as President and show our respect for his decision.
• During the last three and a half years, President Rosell made a clear commitment to the transformation of the penyes movement and gave a decisive push to our collective so that we can face the challenges of the future of the FC Barcelona penyes with a guarantee of success. The Penyes Segle XXI project, began this mandate, received his constant support , which has allowed us to bring about important changes.
• - We give our support and best wishes for success to our new Club President , Sr. Josep M. Bartomeu. We are convinced that he, alongside his fellow Board members, will continue to give strong support to the penyes movement and all the aspects of the social character which surround the Club.
