Barça B – RC Recreativo: Unjust reward for consistency (0-1)

Barça B were unable to fight back from Joselu's goal despite dominating the game

Barça B were unlucky at the Miniestadi this afternoon. The team managed by Eusebio Sacristán had the initiative, the desire and the chances, but Recreativo were more accurate. The Andalusian side scored in what was their only chance in the first half. After the goal, Barça B dominated, but this time they were unable to fight back.

In addition to Silvio Elías, former players Toño de La Cruz, Abraham González, and Espanyol player César Calaval were in the stands.

The visiting team, who practically had only one chance in the first half, scored the go-ahead goal when Joselu found himself unmarked in front of Masip. The player fired past Barça B’s keeper to make it 0-1 on 23 minutes. The home team tried to fight back, but Cabrero, Recreativo’s keeper, made sure they didn’t score the tying goal.

The second half saw the visitors protect their one-goal lead by doubling down on defence. Dani Nieto, who came on shortly after the starting whistle, had two clear chances but neither of them were successful.
