FC Barcelona were defeated this Sunday afternoon for the first time this season. It happened in Macedonia, away to Metalurg Skopje, in the final match of the Champions League group stage (Barça had already qualified as group leaders). It was the team’s 39th match of the season, after 37 victories and one draw. Despite losing, the men managed by Xavi Pascual are through to the next round as leaders of Group C and on Tuesday they will be handed their quarter-final rival. Barça’s possible rivals are Wisla, Zaporozhye or Aalborg.
