The four Chinese winners of the Catalunya Turisme contest thoroughly enjoyed the Camp Nou Experience despite the fact that they had watched the match between FC Barcelona and Celta Vigo from the stands of the stadium. “It’s a dream come true. I never would have imagined that I would experience this in person,” said Xinxiao, one of the contest winners. Tears fell from Shutong as she kissed the pitch of the Camp Nou, a place she’s dreamed of visiting for years.
The Chinese fans didn’t miss out on the chance to take photos of the moments that will certainly be unforgettable, and perhaps unrepeatable, seeing that they live 10,000 kilometers away. “I don’t know when, but I’m a certain that I will return,” said Shutong. Dídac Lee, director of new technologies at FC Barcelona, met with the fans and commented: “It’s impressive to see what Barça means to a country as far away like China.”
Lee added: “Barça want to be close to Chinese fans through digital technology. It’s very gratifying when you see the love other countries have for the Club. Barça are one of Catalonia’s best ambassadors.”
After three days of visiting the city and Barça, the contest winners toured Costa Brava, Figueres, Platja d’Aro and Catalunya Central.
