The 18-man squad for Saturday’s derby with Espanyol on Saturday at 4.00 PM CET at Cornellà-El Prat has been announced, with Song absent due to a calf injury but Andrés Iniesta included despite missing the second half of the Celta match with thigh trouble.
Alex Song did specific work on his injury this morning and was therefore absent from training, while Puyol and Dos Santos worked out separately as they battle to recover from their own injuries, as did Isaac Cuenca and Víctor Valdés. Montoya and Afellay have also been left out of the weekend’s side.
They day started with congratulations all round for Cristian Tello, who became a father for the first time on Thursday. It has been decided that the team will not be staying in a hotel tonight. They will instead be meeting at at 11.00 AM CET in the Camp Nou, after which they will have lunch at Hotel Princesa Sofía and shortly after will be transferred to Cornellà-El Prat.
