Barça v Betis, guaranteed goals

Barça-Betis on Saturday promises goals. So say the stats from this year and also the past ten matches between the two teams at the Camp Nou. Gerardo Martino's team are the top scorers in la Liga with 89 goals. Betis, however, are the second team with most goals against (61).

Over and above the stats from this season, FC Barcelona and Betis have played some wonderful matches in the last few years. In fact, in the last ten League matches at the Nou Camp, 44 goals have been scored. I.e.  4.4 goals per game and tons of excitement.

Of these ten games against Betis, Barça have scored  3 or more goals  in eight of these. Betis, on the other hand, have managed to score in seven of the matches.

Especially memorable are the 3-3 draw in the 2004/05 season, when Van Bronckhorst scored the equaliser in the 95th minute, the 3-2 win with Gudjohnsen scoring the winner on the day of  Mercé in 2009,  or the last two 4-2 wins, with Alexis and Messi scoring in both games.

The Argentinian superstar is the top scorer of the last ten meetings with Betis. He’s scored five goals, followed by Eto'o and Saviola, who both scored four.
