81.978 spectators, second biggest crowd of La Liga season

On top of that, it's the third biggest crowd of the whole season, behind Real Madrid (98.761) and Manchester City (85.957)

Saturday's match against Betis at the Camp Nou saw 81.978 spectators in the stadium. The crowd was the second largest of the season in La Liga, only behind El Clásico, where there were 98.761 sepctators at the Camp Nou. Club members wanted to make it a special day on the festive occasion at the Camp Nou, on the day of the Referendum for the New Espai Barça.  It was also the third biggest crowd of the whole season (including matches in La Liga, Spanish Cup, Champions League, Spanish Supercup, and the Gamper). El Clásico saw the biggest crowd, and the second biggest was the Champions League match, in March, against  Manchester City, in the return leg of the last 16, where there were 85.957 spectators.

It’s worth remembering that for this game the Club ran a special campaign to promote attendance at the stadium, and at the same time encourage members to actively participate in the Referendum. Members without seats at the Camp Nou received a 50% discount for the Barça v Betis match, with a maximum of two tickets per member, depending on seat availability.
