This Saturday the 30th anniversary of the Alcora Barcelona Supporters Club and the XVI Gathering of Barcelona Supporters Clubs from Castellon were held, attended by around 300 Barça supporters’ club members. The day began with a reception at the Town Hall in the presence of Vice President Jordi Cardoner, Jorge Romero, President of the Alcora Barcelona Supporters Club, and Merche Mallol, Mayor of the town.
Following that there was an exchange of gifts between the authorities present, and after that, Cardoner and Robert Fernandez, former FC Barcelona player, signed the book of honour of the local council.
After the signatures, the authorities present took the opportunity to visit a photo exhibition of the 30 years of the Alcora Barcelona Supporters Club, and also went to the Alcora Ceramic Museum, one of the obligatory places that must be visited when going to the Valencian town.
The final part of the day was dedicated to the gala dinner, where a token was presented to all supporters’ club members. There was also a tribute to the six former presidents of the supporters clubs, and a first team shirt signed by all the players was presented to a youngster, who, because of a ligament injury, is unable to play football. Institutional speeches closed the event.
