FC Barcelona and Wilde have agreed to extend the contract linking the two entities for an additional season. Javier Bordas, the director responsible for Barça Alusport, and the player met this afternoon to sign the contract.

Wilde arrived to FC Barcelona in the summer of 2010 from ElPozo Murcia and in these past four seasons he’s become a crucial player for Marc Carmona. He’s won three league titles, four Copas del Rey, three Spanish Cups, two UEFA Futsal Cups and one Spanish Super Cup, he’s also scored 184 goals in all competitions for Barça.

“My priority was to stay here”

The player was clear when he was asked about his new contract: “I priority was to stay here. I had offers to leave but I wanted to stay. This decision wasn’t made just for me, but for my family. I want to be here as long as possible.” He added: “Scoring goals is how I help the team. I happy and I hope to score more goals.”

“We are very pleased that Wilde will be with us for at least another year. This is a year of change in the team, but Wilde’s renovation makes us all happy,” said Bordas.
