FC Barcelona Handball's daily plan for the Final Four in Cologne

The Blaugrana travel this Wednesday to Germany for the VELUX EHF Final Four

This Wednesday is the day that Xavi Pascual and his men travel to the German city of Cologne for the biggest challenge of the season: the Final Four of the Champions League. The following is an overview of what the Blaugrana will be doing this week:

Wednesday: Training session and voyage north

This Wednesday evening the Blaugrana will travel to Germany, before the trip, however, they will train at the Palau Blaugrana and enjoy a meal together. They will leave for El Prat Airport from the Club’s installations, and flu to Düsseldorf, and from there take a motor coach to Cologne.

Thursday: Training session in Cologne

The team will spend Thursday adjusting to Germany ahead of the semi-final game on Saturday against SG Flensburg-Handewitt.

At 9:30 the team will eat at the hotel and at noon they will train at the Halle Bergischer Ring in Cologne. The team won’t train at Lanxess Area due to the pre-Final Four preparations.

At 2:00 PM CET the team will eat lunch, and at 9:00 PM CET they will eat dinner.

Friday: Activities and prep for the semi-finals 

At 11:00 AM CET the team will train at the Halle Bergischer Ring. After the session Mickaël Robin will represent FC Barcelona in a charity golf tournament organised by the EHF.

Sterbok and Sorhaindo will sign autographs, at approximately 12:30 PM CET in Cologne’s city center and the team will hold a press conference at 2:45 PM CET. Pascual, Noddesbo, Rutenka, Karabatic, Entrerríos and Tomás will represent the team at the press conference.

At 6:00 PM CET captain Víctor Tomás will participate in a Google Hangout and at 7:00 PM CET the team will attend the Opening Party at the Lanzess Arena. Upon its conclusion the team will eat dinner and rest ahead of Saturday’s game.

Saturday: Champions League handball

The team will take to the court at 6:00 PM CET and battle for a spot in the final of the Champions League. Before the match, the men managed by Pascual will eat breakfast at 9:30 AM CET and lunch at 1:30 PM CET.
