The Spanish national team played its first match in the run-up to the World Cup this evening. It was against Bolivia, in Seville and a lot of FC Barcelona players played a big role in the outcome. Eight Blaugrana featured against the South American team, among them Gerard Deulofeu, who made his debut with the national team. The forward played a total of 11 minutes.
Piqué, Xavi and Pedro were named to the starting team, while Iniesta, Cesc and Busquets came on in the second half. Therefore, Jordi Alba was the only Barça player to not get playing time.
The match was decided in the second half. Fernando Torres scored the opener from the penalty spot on 50 minutes and Iniesta made it 2-0 with a shot from just outside the area. In the dying minutes, Busquets hit the woodwork with a powerful long-range shot.
