Reception for the Castelló penyistas

Ahead of this Sunday’s game between FC Barcelona and Villarreal, a reception was held for the Federació de Penyes Barcelonistes de les Comarques de Castelló. The vice president of the FC Barcelona Area Social, Jordi Cardoner, met with representatives of the local supporters clubs, headed by Ximo Grifol, President of the FPB de les Comarques de Castelló.

In his speech to the penya members, Cardoner praised the “role of the penyes on the ground”, as well as the importance of the penyes for the current FC Barcelona board, reminding them that they form part of the Assemblea de Compromisaris and have a real weight within the Club structure: “there is a commitment to listen to the voice of the penyes. There is a real penyes movement and it has a voice in our affairs”. Cardoner also explained the conclusions of the recent Congrés Mundial de Penyes.

Ximo Grifol thanked the Club for their support, as well as the penyes from the area and the presence of Sr Cardoner, who closed the meeting with a call for unity and hope.
