Vicente del Bosque has announced his 22-man squad to face France in a friendly and Macedonia in Span’s first qualifying game for the 2016 European Championships. Iniesta, Busquets, Jordi Alba, Pedro and debutant Marc Bartra are the Barça representatives in the squad.
In addition to the Spanish internationals, a number of other Barça players have been called up for their national squads: Neymar Jr for Brazil; Mascherano and Messi, for Argentina; keeper Claudio Bravo for Chile; Rakitic, for Croatia and Rafinha for the Brazilian Olympic side.
Ex- Barça midfielder Albert Celades makes his debut as coach of the under 21s next week and has called up Sergi Roberto and Munir for his squad, with Celades explaining: “we value Munir very highly. We watched him in the under 19s and we continue to count on him”. Deolofeu and Denis Suárez – both on loan at Seville – are also included in the squad.
