Messi and Mascherano named for two Argentina friendlies

The World Cup finalists have two matches in in October against Brazil and Hong Kong

Leo Messi is back in the Argentina squad after missing his country’s first games after coming second at the Brazil World Cup with a minor injury. The former Barça manager, now in charge of his national side, Gerardo 'Tata' Martino, has named him in his squad along with club colleague Javier Mascherano for October’s trip to Asia to face Brazil on October 11 and Hong Kong three days later.

Against Neymar

The game with Brazil is played in Beijing and will pit the Barça duo against Neymar Jr in what is being billed as the Superclásico de las Américas and is being played for the first time as a single match in a neutral venue.

Like Messi and Mascherano, Neymar will also be playing a second friendly in the Far East before returning to Barcelona, in his case against Japan in Singapore.
