On the eve of the match, the Brazilian appeared before the media in the team hotel, and his connection with Messi was one of the things he was asked to comment on. “Our chemistry off the field helps us to relate better on it” he said. “My understanding with Messi is getting better with every game.”
“I have thought that Messi is the best player in the world for some time” he continued. “It is an honour to play with him. As for tomorrow, we have spoken a lot about this game and have joked about who’s going to win.”
This is not the first time that Neymar has featured in the biggest international match-up in South American football. “They’re on old rival for us” he said. “I have played a lot of these games but I can’t remember if I have won or lost more.”
What is certain is that the game in Beijing tomorrow night, Brazil v Argentina and also Neymar v Messi is going to be a clash that the Chinese people are going to be talking about for a very long time to come.
