Bayern Munich 73 – 71 Barça Lassa: Koponen sinks former team

The ex-blaugrana scores the game-winner at the buzzer to give Bayern the win

Petteri Koponen, the former Barça Lassa player, scored a buzzer-beating basket on Thursday night to give Bayern Munich a 73-71 victory over the visiting blaugranas in Euroleague action at the Audi Dome in Munich, Germany.

Barça were leading heading into the fourth quarter, but were outscored 24-15 in the final frame. Barça now have two must-win games at the Palau Blaugrana versus Buducnost and Khimki in order to keep their grip on the fifth seed heading into the playoffs

Barça were ahead the entire game, but an offensive drought in the final minutes allowed Bayern to claim the win. The Germans took their first lead of the game with 10.6 seconds remaining on the clock, when Vladimir Lucic three-pointer put them ahead, 70-69.

The teams traded free throws before Koponen scored the game-winner, keeping Barça from moving closer to the fourth seed.
