Barça Lassa took a 90-76 victory over Movistar Estudiantes in the Palau Blaugrana in the 23rd round of matches in the Endesa League. A superb third quarter from the home side in which they amassed 34 points was key to the win with Kuric contributing 15 and Tomic 18.
The game did not start off in ideal fashion for the home side with 9 unanswered points from Movistar helping them to an early 22-10 lead. However, in the second quarter Barça Lassa dragged themselves back into the game with Oriola and Claver key in bringing the score back to 27-25 in favour of the visitors. Singleton put Barça ahead briefly before Estudiantes retook the lead at the break with a 39-36 advantage.
The third quarter was a different story with Ante Tomic decisive on the inside. Soon Barça had overturned the deficit to lead 50-42 with Heurtel also in fine form. In the final minutes the effectiveness of Kuric, Pangos and Singleton in three pointers took the game away from the visitors from Madrid and handed Barça Lassa their 19th league win of the season, a victory that reinforces their position as leaders.
