A team from Barça TV travelled to Miami to interview the former blaugrana on the 10th anniversary of the famous 3-0 victory against Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabéu and Messi took advantage of their trip to send the Brazilian the signed jersey.
The programme highlights the special relationship between the two Barça number 10’s that has existed ever since they shared a dressing room at Camp Nou between 2004 and 2008. Both players recall how their friendship developed with a young Messi forming a close bond to the man who at the time was the team’s dominant figure.
