The IX Lleida Sud Barça Supporters Clubs Meeting was held last Sunday in Lleida and was presided over by board member Pau Vilanova accompanied by the Director of the Social Commission, Jordi Durà and ex-first team player Pere Valentí Mora. Òscar Mauri, president of the Penya Barça Ciutat de Lleida hosted the event together with the president of the Federació de Penyes Barcelonistes de Lleida, Lluís Pérez and the city mayor, Àngel Ros.
The day began with the presentation by Sor Lucía Caram of the campaign “Tots Contra la Pobresa Infantil” aimed at dealing with child poverty, which is being supported by the penyes to ensure no child goes hungry.
Almost all the areas penyes attended the event with more than 200 penyistas present. Pau Vilanova stressed the movement’s solidarity with those less fortunate and also commented on the importance of the creation of the Confederació and the signing of the agreement between the confederation and the Club which he claimed is a historic step forward.
