The Barça goalkeeper helps his compatriots draw with hosts Czech Republic and clinch second place in Group A

The Germany Under-21 national team and goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen drew 1–1 with hosts the Czech Republic to take second place in Group A and qualify for the semi-finals of the eight-team UEFA Under-21 Championship. Germany had one win and two draws in the group stage.

FC Barcelona's ter Stegen once again started and played well. Midfielder
Nico Schulz put the Germans up in the 55th minute, but left-winger Ladislav Krejčí brought the Czechs back level in the 66th.

Denmark also qualified for the semi-finals after defeating Serbia 2–0 to win the group. The matchups for the last four will be known on Wednesday night, after the last games in Group B have been played.
