Levi’s Stadium just the latest state-of-the-art stomping ground in the United States

The new home field of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers opened in August 2014 and will host the next Super Bowl

On 25 July, Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California will be the backdrop for the second match of FC Barcelona's American tour when the Catalans take on Manchester United. The 68,500-capacity stadium is currently the home field of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers and is set to host Super Bowl 50 on 7 February 2016.

Still sparkling

Levi's Stadium, which opened its doors in August 2014, is also the permanent host of the NCAA College Football's Pac-12 Final and the San Francisco Bowl. It will also be the site of one annual MLS match featuring the San Jose Earthquakes, a close resident. There has only been one football (soccer) match played at Levi's stadium. It was a friendly played on 6 September 2014 between Chile and Mexico and which ended in a scoreless draw.
