Andrés Iniesta on Tuesday in Tbilisi played match number 550 for the FC Barcelona first team. The man from La Mancha was amongst the starting eleven in the final of the European Super Cup against Sevilla, moving past Migueli on 549 on the all time appearance of FC Barcelona players in official competition.
At the moment, Iniesta occupies third position on the list with only Carles Puyol on 593 and Xavi Hernández on 764 appearances ahead of him.
Up to now Iniesta has played in 361 league games, 109 Champions League matches, 59 in the Copa del Rey, 10 in the Spanish Super Cup, 5 in the World Club Cup, 3 in the UEFA Cup and 3 more in the European Super Cup. In those matches the Barça captain has scored a total of 53 goals in official competition.
