Agreement on transfer of Denis Suárez to Villarreal CF

FC Barcelona maintain the same option to buy the player back at the end of the season

FC Barcelona, Sevilla FC and Villarreal CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of Denis Suárez to the latter.

The player spent last season on loan at Sevilla as part of the same deal that brought Ivan Rakitic to the Camp Nou. Suárez was originally due to stay in Andalusia for two years, through to the summer of 2016, but is now headed for Castellon, with Barça maintaining the option to rebuy the player at the end of the season. The Catalan club also holds onto a second option to repurchase him at the end of the 2016/17 season, and a right to first refusal should it not exercise that right.

First and second division experience

Súarez arrived at Barça B in the 2013/14 season and played a major role in the second division campaign, playing 36 games (3,011 minutes), scoring seven goals and providing seven assists.

Before that he was at Celta Vigo in his native Galicia and at Premiership club Manchester City. He has also played for Spain at different age levels.
