Wednesday morning saw another training session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, but this one saw only those not selected in the squad for the Catalan Super Cup against Girona. The first team members in attendance turned their focus to the next LaLiga fixture for FC Barcelona, which takes place on Saturday at the Camp Nou against Rayo Vallecano (6:30pm CET).
Those who will not feature in tonight's match in Sabadell, and who were put through the paces at the training ground, were: Ter Stegen, N. Semedo, Piqué, I. Rakitic, Sergio, Coutinho, Arthur, Suárez, Messi, O. Dembélé, Lenglet, Jordi Alba, S. Roberto and Vidal. Also participating were Mingueza, Araujo, McGuane, Cuenca and Morer from Barça B, plus Marqués and Orellana from the Under-19s A team.
The squad for the Catalan Super Cup is: Cillessen, Todibo, Malcom, Murillo, Boateng, Aleñá, Umtiti, Iñaki Peña, Wague, Guillem, Chumi, Miranda, O. Busquets, Monchu, Collado, Riqui Puig, Abel Ruiz, Mujica and Kike Saverio.
