The Spanish national basketball team beat Lithuania 80–63 in the final of the FIBA Eurobasket 2015 held in France. FC Barcelona guard Pau Ribas was a key part of the team on their road to the title.
Spain dominated the championship game from the start, going up 15–4 after just six minutes of play. Lithuania tried to claw back, draining a pair of three-pointers before halftime and cutting Spain's lead to 37–29.
But Spain stretched their lead to 18 points lead in the third quarter and didn't look back.
Ribas, who signed with Barça before this season, was penciled into the starting five for the final. He had already gained international experience with the junior and under-20 national teams, and can now add the title of European champion to his list of accolades. Ribas played 20 minutes in the final, scoring five points and pulling down one rebound.
