A year on from his FC Barcelona debut, Luis Suárez spoke to TV3 about his first campaign at the Camp Nou which he described as “a dream”.
Despite winning the treble, the Uruguayan signaled his appetite for more success, stating: “We are aiming to win another league title, a second consecutive Champions League, the Club World Cup and continue making history with this club.”
One of the keys behind last season’s glorious campaign was the chemistry Suárez formed with Neymar and Messi.
“We connect very well, we know which moves we need to make,” said the 28-year-old, before adding that “all three of us know our role”.
Regarding his own objectives, Suárez said: “I know full well that I must work hard to occupy the centre-backs in order to benefit my teammates who play behind me, especially Neymar and Messi.”
“I have always respected the figures who have been her longer, I am not here to compete with anyone nor be the best,” the striker insisted.
In the interview, Suárez recalled his favourite goals from his first season. The Uruguayan chose two in particular for their importance - his match-winner against Real Madrid which gave Barça a 2-1 victory in March and his goal in the Champions League final against Juventus.
