Barça B earned an important three points on their visit to Pobla Mafumet (0-2) thanks to two goals from Dani Romera.
Gerard López’s team threatened from the beginning with Dongou and Xemi testing the opposition keeper’s gloves. It would not be long before Barça’s intensity paid off, as Romera’s perseverance saw him capitalise on a defensive mix up by the home side, to give his side the lead and open his personal account for the club on 26 minutes.
A nasty collision between Luis Acosta and Xemi saw eight minutes added on to the end of the first period. Six minutes into the additional time, Barça doubled their advantage through Romera again, with a fine left footed shot from the edge of the box.
There was still time for more action at the end of the first half however. The home side were handed a route back into the game through a dubious penalty decision, but Ortolá guessed the right way to maintain Barça’s two-goal advantage which would remain until the end of the game.
It was Barça’s first win in five, lifting the team out of the relegation zone pending other results.
