First Plenary Session of Supporters Club Council

Federation presidents meet to discuss issues and work carried out during the last two months

The Council of the Barça World Supporters Clubs Confederation met in a plenary session on 14th of February hours before the FC Barcelona v Celta match. All 30 territorial federations were represented and came together during the morning meeting, the highlight of which regarded their development.

One of the topics dealt with and voted on was the inclusion of the President of the Confederation, Antoni Guil, to the AFEPE (Aficiones Unidas) Board as vice-president. In addition, Federation presidents Nicolás Pérez and Daniel Peinado will form part of the organisation’s committees. The lawsuit against the UEFA, which was taken up by the TSJC on Wednesday 10 February, was also discussed.

Apart from the development of the Federation, the Committees worked on their own issues. The Institutional, Communication and Law Committee focused on the organisation, the media, and the companies to be involved in the XXI Century 2016-21 Supporters Club project and the development of a communications plan.

The Marketing, Tickets and Heritage Committee studied the implementation of the sponsorship plan and discussed support of the teams and the organisation of the Copa del Rey.

Finally, the Sociocultural Committee worked on the World Supporters Club Congress and activities, as well as the organisation and representation of Supporters Club events.

In addition, FC Barcelona Director Pau Vilanova, concluded the Council’s Plenary session.
