Navarro reaches new milestones for 3-pointers and minutes

The FC Barcelona Lassa captain plays 15,000th minute and scores 1,100th 3-pointer

Juan Carlos Navarro just can’t stop breaking records and on Sunday at Santiago de Compostela he made it to an amazing 1,100 three-pointers in the Liga Endesa and also played his 15,000th minute in the domestic league.

With an average of 1.77 a game, his incredible 3-pointer tally brings him within touching distance of the all-time record of 1,233 by former Estudiantes legend Alberto Herreros.

Navarro is just the eleventh player to rack up 15,000 AB minutes, and just 102 more and he’ll move into the top ten ahead of Nacho Azofra. The all-time leader is the present day General Manager of Barça Lassa, Joan Creus, who played an extraordinary 20,211 minutes.

“I’m happy to have reached this milestone” he said after the game. “As always with these things, I didn’t even know. Let’s hope I can get loads more threes and minutes. And it was especially good at a difficult place like this, where it’s not easy to play spectacular basketball.”
