FC Barcelona Lassa will be one of eight teams competing in the Futsal Intercontinental Cup between 24 and 29 June 2016 in Qatar. The competition is regarded as the best tournament in the world in its sport.
Taking part will be teams from Europe, Asia and South America. Barça and Movistar of the LNFS, Carlos Barbosa (Brazil), Magnus Futsal (Brazil), Dinamo Moscow (Russia) and Tasisat Daryaei (Iran) have booked their place while representing Qatar will be one of Al Sadd or Al Rayyan depending on who qualifies from their local league.
Group stage draw on 3 May
The draw for the group stages will take place in Doha on 3 May, which will receive the presence of Magnus Futsal captain and one of the sport’s best ever players Falcao, who is also a tournament ambassador.
The last edition of this tournament was in 2013 in the United States where Dinamo Moscow defeated Carlos Barbosa 3-1 in the final.
