Movistar Inter v FC Barcelona Lassa: Another defeat calls on magic of the Palau (5-3)

A 3-1 lead at half-time ends up being a 5-3 defeat in game two of the LNFS final series

Barça Lassa have gone 2-0 down in the best-of-five LNFS final after losing again away to Mosvistar Inter. It was the same story as game one, with the Catalans once again throwing away a promising lead and conceding a run of goals towards the end.

Barça went a goal down to an early penalty but it took Wilde just six seconds to get things level again. The visitors then saved a double penalty before Sergio Lozano scored his fifth goals of the playoffs with double penalty of his own. It was 3-1 by half-time and everything looked on perfect course.

But disaster struck after the break with Rivillos and Ortiz scoring in less than a minute to get things to 3-3. With Lozano off injured, matters got even more worrying. With two minutes to go, Darlan put Inter ahead and Barça had no option to go for a rush goalies tactic. Lozano was sent back out in a desperate attempt to salvage something but it all came to nothing when Ricardinho tapped home with 20 seconds to go.

Barça now need three straight wins to get their hands on the trophy, but can take some comfort from the knowledge that the next two games in the series will be at the Palau Blaugrana. It’s not over yet!
