Samuel Umtiti is in the building. The French defender, the second signing by FC Barcelona in as many days, was at the team's facilities on Friday morning to begin the next stage of his career.
Umtiti began the day by passing his physical at the Hospital de Barcelona before heading to the team's training cetre, the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
Just before two o'clock in the afternoon, the new player arrived at Camp Nou to sign his contract in the office of Club President Josep Maria Bartomeu. After the signing, Umtiti and Bartomeu proceeded with the player's official presentation on the Platea inside Camp Nou, where the President said he expected Umtiti "to attain many personal and team achievements."
Bartomeu recognised the ease of negotiating with the president of Olympique Lyonnais, who said that he "would only allow Umtiti to leave because it was Barça."
Umtiti then went down to the team's dressing room to don the Blaugrana kit before heading out onto the pitch to kick the ball around for the fans in attendance. The Frenchman was gleefully cheered as he delighted the crowd with his ball juggling skills.
