André Gomes and Samuel Umtiti train with the rest of the group
The Portuguese and the Frenchman join their teammates for Monday's two sessions at Ciutat Esportiva
Luis Enrique has his complete squad with him at last, other than Neymar Jr and Rafinha who are competing for Brazil at the Rio Olympics. André Gomes and Samuel Umtiti were the last two players to join training on Monday, although the new French signing had worked out on his own at the Ciutat Esportiva on Saturday. Now, he and Gomes were finally able to make their first contact with their new team-mates on the Tito Vilanova field.
For some of the players there were two sessions today. The players that reported back on August 1 were on pitch two from 8.30pm CET to exercise a second time, namely Ter Stegen, Douglas, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Iniesta, Bravo, Mascherano, Digne, André Gomes and Umtiti.
The main focvus for the time being is Wednesday’s Joan Gamper match with Sampdoria. That’s the last unofficial game before things get even hotter with the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup at Sevilla’s Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
There are sessions every non-match day this week. The first team squad will be back at the Ciutat Esportiva on Tuesday morning at 9.30am CET.
