Olot 1-1 Barça B: Last-minute pain

Barça B lost out on two points on their visit to Olot (1-1). Despite being ahead going into the last minute and with one more player on the pitch, Carles Mas was the hero for Raul Garrido's side, equalising Merveil's opener at the death.

The match began at a frenetic pace with Olot playing a very direct game. That was in stark contrast to Barca B's possession which halted the hosts in their tracks as things settled down. Riqui Puig shone, however, Garcia Pimienta's side were missing a decent final ball when well placed.

The second half was all Barça with chance after chance being passed up. Carles Pérez was unlucky and five minutes later, Abel Ruiz fluffed his lines in a one on one. However, he soon atoned for the miss by setting up Merveil (0-1, min 65).

Unfortunate

Things got tougher for the hosts when Guzmán was given a direct red for a poor challenge on Riqui Puig, but Barça weren't able to add a second. An unfortunate late mistake from Jokin Ezkieta, who had an excellent match, allowed Carles Mas to find the net (1-1, min 90).

Next Sunday the team travel to Mallorca to play against Atlético Baleares.
