Barça B 3-1 Zhejiang Greentown: Friendly victory

Reserves win Friday's game against the team from the Chinese second tier, managed by former Barça man Sergi Barjuan

The FC Barcelona reserves won 3-1 in Friday morning’s friendly against the visiting Zhejiang Greentown FC, coached by former Barça full back Sergi Barjuan, and who missed out on promotion to the Chinese Super League by just two points last season.

A Jin Hao own goal and goals from Merveil and Guillem Jaime won today’s game at the Ciutat Esportiva 3-1

Gabriel, making his debut for the team, along with Merveil and the ever-magical Riqui Puig led an impressive first half charge from the blaugrana, but the first goal didn’t come until the 44th minute, when a splendid move from McGuane ended with the visitors putting the ball in their own net.

Goalkeeper Ezkieta had little to do in the first 45 minutes, but his workload was considerably heavier after the restart. Brazilian Rafael Martins levelled the game after 59 minutes, but Barça responded with Merveil’s first goal for the team on 66 minutes and a wonderful finish from Guillem Jaime three minutes from the end wrapped things up for the home team.

Garcia Pimienta and his side will be back in action on Sunday at 5.00pm CET in a Division 2B fixture away to Olot.

FC Barcelona B players used: Ezkieta, Wague, Mingueza, Cuenca, Vilarrasa, Oriol Busquets, McGuane, Riqui Puig, Gabriel, Morer, Merveil, Kike Saverio, Mortimer, Carles Pérez, Collado, Monchu, Chumi, Guillem & Baño
