Barça B 1-2 Conquense: Two mistakes condemn the Blaugrana

Garcia Pimienta's side lost at home against Conquense (1-2) despite dominating for long periods. Two consecutive errors at the end of the first half condemned the hosts after Carles Pérez had opened the scoring.

Possession

Conquense were brave in the opening stages of the game, pressing high and strong in the tackle. However, the first clear chance of the match fell to the Blaugranes, with Carles Pérez making no mistake from Riqui Puig's assist (1-0, min 10). Barça B then took hold of the game and put together a series of excellent moves involving long possession of the ball. Puig led the majority of assaults but the hosts were unable to transform the chances into goals.

Two unlucky plays then changed things entirely. First, Oriol Busquets' loss of the ball generated a counterattack from Conquense that ended up with Aguilera equalising (1-1, min 41), and in the immediate aftermath of this action, from a corner, Parera wasn't watched and was able to put the visitors ahead (1-2, min 43). 

A reaction without goals

At the beginning of the second half, Barça B tried hard to get back on terms with an inspired Puig again leading the charge. Merveil replaced Oriol Busquets on 65 as the hosts went for an all-out attack.

Despite their best efforts, the Blaugranes just fell short, but they will seek to get back to winning ways next Sunday in their visit to Olot.
