After a fortnight taken up with their successful Club World Cup campaign, the Barça handball team were back in action on Saturday in the league in the Palau Blaugrana. Carlos Ortega's team took a 42-31 win over Frigoríficos del Morrazo to complement their world title celebrations. 

Rotations work 

After displaying the trophy won in Cairo, Egypt earlier in the week, the Barça handball team dominated the encounter in the Palau. After keeping pace early on, Frigoríficos soon fell behind in the first half. Rotations from the Barça coach Ortega gave some of the younger players a chance and they did not disappoint, taking a 21-16 lead in at half time. 

In the second half Barça stretched their lead to 10 at 31-21 before taking the win at 42-31 to make three wins in three in the domestic league.

The blaugranes' next challenge comes in Europe as they play host to OTP Bank - PICK Szeged on Thursday at 8.45pm CEST in the Palau Blaugrana.
