Barça 41-30 Cisne: Homework done aginst bottom club

Barça are the runaway champions and bottomed ranked Cisne needing a miracle to avoid being relegated, but there were moments in the first half of today's game at the Palau when the difference between these two sides didn't show. On the day that the league trophy was handed over with the team heading for another perfect season, there were moments when a huge upset might have been on the cards.

Barça have not lost a league game since 2021, but with something of a European hangover, players missing and perhaps an element of relaxation, they found themselves 18-18 at half-time. This was most unexpected.

The second half was a very different story. Barça were the Barça we all know and love again, and 10-goal Hampus Wanne was having a blinder. Despite all the uncertainty early on, the Catalans eventually found the pedal and stamped down on it hard. In the end, a clear victory, 41-30, and time to pick up that Asobal trophy. Again!
