A great start from the blaugranes allowed Carlos Ortega's team to comfortably book their place in Sunday's Asobal Cup final

Barça have the chance to add another piece of silverware to their collection after a 41-24 win over REBI Cuenca allowed them to book their place in Sunday's Asobal Cup final. The win in the semi-final was a comfortable one after an excellent start to the game and the blaugranes now have the opportunity of claiming the trophy for the 18th time in their history. 

The culers started the contest switched on from the first minute. Hurting their opponents on the counter, Barça controlled the first half and went in at the break 17-11 up. 

Entertainment and into the final 

In the second half Pérez de Vargas replaced Nielsen in goal and went on to make 11 saves in the game, just as the Dane had in the first. Furthermore, Ian Barrufet made his debut for the first team and opened his account with three goals. Barça led 24-14 and then continued to extend their lead to run out winners by 17 at 41-24.
