CD Bidasoa Irún 29-37 Barça: Asobal Cup Champions!

Barça are the Copa Sacyr Asobal Champions! The blaugranes defeated CD Bidasoa Irún 37-29 in the final to add another trophy to their collection, their 17th win in the competition and their 11th in a row. All that remain this season for Carlos Ortega's side is the Champions League final four in Cologne on 18 and 19 June.

After a tight beginning to the game Barça gradually took control in the first half. The blaugranes led by 15-10 before a minor fightback from Bidasoa saw Barça's lead cut to 17-14 at the break. 

In the second half Carlos Ortega's team took control of the final. Fàbragas added to his four first half goals and Aleix Gómez and Yussef Benali also shone in attack for the blaugranes. 

In the end Barça extended their lead to eight to take a memorable 37-29 win to add the Asobal Cup to the Spanish Super Cup, Catalan Super Cup, Copa del Rey and Asobal on the list of successes in 2021/22.
