Incarlopsa Cuenca 26–29 FC Barcelona: Unstoppable as ever

A close encounter at the Pabellón Municipal El Sargal, but the blaugrana come away with another victory

The Barça handball team won away on Saturday to continue their excellent league form. Following a good result in the Champions League midweek at Vészprem they now defeated Cuenca to remain unbeaten in the Liga Sacyr Asobal. Blaz Janc, Langaro and Leo Maciel were the outstanding names in the win.

A 50% save rate from home keeper Ante Grabavac was the reason Barça failed to break away. Instead, it was the defences that shone and there was just one point between the sides at the break.

Barça may have always led, but they were never entirely at ease until they finally streaked into a five point lead towards the end.

Cuenca battled hard late on, but never really threatened to break down that lead and Barça have another win in the bag.
