FC Barcelona v Sporting in Futsal Champions League semi-final

Game to be played at 7pm CET on Friday 3 May at the Karen Demirchyan Arena, Yerevan, with the winner facing Benfica or Palma in the final

Barça will be opening the Final Four of the Futsal Champions League against Sporting Portugal of Lisbon at the Karen Demirchyan Arena in Yerevan, and the winners will go on to face either Benfica or Illes Balears Palma Futsal in the final, as decided at Thursday's draw in the Armenian capital.

Barça are into the UEFA Champions League Finals for the tenth time, and have brought back the trophy four times. This semi is a repeat of the 2022 final in Riga, which the Catalans won 4-0.

Praise from Velasco

“I didn't mind too much who we meet, the important thing is to be in good form when we go there. But I'm sure we'll be keeping a close eye on Sporting because they are cut above the rest in terms of intensity and competitiveness" said coach Velasco. "We have experience in our favour and we're used to playing in finals. We know where are strengths lie and we will need to get the game in our court if we are to advance."

Final Four schedule

The semi-finals are on Friday 3 May at 6pm and 9pm local time, which is two hours ahead of CET. The Barça v Sporting Portugal of Lisbon will be in the later time slot of 9pm.

The final will be on Sunday 5 May at 8pm local time, hopefully with a blaugrana presence!
