The second win against Valdepeñas... and through to the play-off semi-finals with the Liga title at stake! This away win for the Barça futsal team means they win the round 2-0, goals by Pito, Antonio, Sergio González and Catela vanquishing a tough Valdepeñas side.
Six goals in the first half and Valdepeñas didn't give up even when down 1-3. Pito opening the scoring for Barça after five minutes before Claudino quickly equalised to make it 1-1 (min 6).
Antonio Pérez restored the lead with a shot into the top corner three minutes later, before Sergio González finished after Ortiz regained possession (1-3, min 12). However, Valdepeñas fought back through Bynho (2-3, min 16) and Claudino again (3-3, min 19) to go in level at half time.
The intensity continued in the second half, and Catela scored a long range cracker into the top corner after a chop to put Barça back in front (3-4, min 23). That goal would prove to be the winner, although when Dídac Plana got a red card (min 25), it was backs to the wall time for the rest of the game for the visitors.
Lolo Urbano played as fly keeper with 1:30 left to exert even more pressure but the Catalans defended well and Miquel Feixas made a superb stop in the last 10 seconds to avoid a draw. Final score 3-4.
Two tough games navigated and next up Inter, with the first leg on Saturday June 3 at the Palau Blaugrana, kick-off 8pm CEST. Tickets go on sale on Monday May 29.
